After a breakout year of opening for comedy megastars Michelle Wolf and David Cross, viral sensation Kyla Cobbler, and SNL writer Rosebud Baker, opera singer and Los Angeles native STEPH DEPREZ is bringing her singular combination of opera, musical theater, comedy, and storytelling to Heidelberg!
Her new show "Mouthy” is a romp of revelry and rage through Steph’s attempts to make a name for herself as an opera singer while looking for love in Berlin.
Whether she’s the soprano soloist for Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, singing the word “oooh” 500 times for legendary label Tresor Records, or joining the German metal band Avistortion - she’ll find a way!
From heartbreak to high notes, no topic is off limits: we’re talking boobs, blowjobs, and Beethoven. Perfect for fans of Renee Fleming, Iliza Shlesinger, and everyone in between. See the performer that Theatre Travels called “rambunctiously funny... clearly an expert at her craft.”
Steph began stand-up in Los Angeles, studying with The Groundlings School and Upright Citizens Brigade. She’s sung as a soprano soloist at Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Konzerthaus and performed with the Miami Classical Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, American Wagner Project, Manhattan Music Festival, and Regents Opera in London.
